As a San Diego native, and 20+ year veteran of the San Diego Internet and start-up scene, our founder has a deep list of close contacts in all facets of this industry. (If we don’t do it, we know someone who does).

Hi, I’m Steve Weber, the Founder of ZDigital. Thank you for looking into our company. Back in 1996, I joined an Internet startup that sold websites to small businesses. Back then, maybe 5% of businesses had websites. There were no smartphones, no Google, no Facebook and Amazon was just a start up. Getting involved in the Internet changed my life forever. Back then, I started by selling websites to businesses in La Jolla, California going door to door.
It was fun to work with business owners and help them take advantage of the Internet – the greatest marketing tool of all time. In 1998 I started my own web development company - Z57 Internet Solutions. We grew quickly and continued to grow every year. We were recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as San Diego’s largest web development firm for 10 consecutive years! Our team grew to over 225 full time employees and we built over 40,000 websites (not a typo) during that period.
We received national recognition including being in Inc. Magazine, Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine and we made the Inc. 5000 several times as one of the fastest growing companies in the US. As the company grew, I got farther and farther from the ground floor. As CEO, my role actually became boring – I was too far from the action (the customers) - so I decided to sell the company and get back into start ups, and since then, I’ve invested in and helped build a couple local tech companies. Now, I’ve decided it’s time to get back to what I love – building an Internet start up.
